Hermana Connolly here! haha This week was really great because I have my mom back!!! haha Hna Conde returned back to our beloved Tapachula martes pretty late. aww! How i missed her! She came with Presidente George and su esposa. We had so much to catch up on!
We had entrvistas (interviews) with Presidente George the following morning which was truly such a blessing. I love how caring Presidente George is! Aww! Its amazing how he can love every single missionary here! Wow! We spent most of the morning in la capilla and then we headed out to keep working!
Its getting super hot here in Tapachula which is incredible! However... we are starting to see a little more rain which means... Huge Rain storms are coming soon! Seriously! It rains like crazy here! haha I love it! We had 2 rain storms this week but we werent too effected... we only got soaked!!! haha lol! Its all part of the adventure right?? It is seriously so fun! The only thing we have to worry about is how to protect our scriptures from getting wet! Haha! #missionprobs #iloveit
We me with the Familia Cruz a few times this week which is always so wonderful! Hna Gloria is progressing a ton! She is trying so hard to learn more and more about the church and the Gospel. I love it! Her desire to learn is so pure and special because she has seen how the church has already blessed her family in so many ways. Lupita and Paulina are doing great! Paulina is attending seminary which is amazing! Especially because its at 530 am! wow!
We had an amazing experience with Salma this week. (She is so amazing and is already attending seminary and isnt even a member yet!) wow! Our zone encouraged us last week to fast so that we could complete with our baptism goals as we finish esta cambio. We were really thinking about Salma the whole week leading up to our fast. We had told her that the 30th was her baptism date and she was super nervous to have an actual date. We hadn't heard anything from her all week about whether or not her mom has given her permission or not. We didn't know what to do, so we just kept praying. We basically shouted for joy in the middle of the street as she told us that this morning her mom had finally given her permission. Wow!!!! We are so excited! She is even happier! Wow!
We had another Noche de Barrio this week which was pretty great. We are trying to help more member to come! We watch " How to Find Faith in Christ" which was an absolute blessing for me this week. It talked all about the life of Christ along with the Atonement. What i learned in this moment was that really and truly everything that He did in His life.... was for US. Every little miracle! Every little act of service! He did it all to give us an example of how we should live, repent, pray, be, serve, and love. He did it all for us.
I am so thankful for this opportunity to be here in Tapachula. It is so amazing to be here. Through all the hard times i realize more and more that Christ is with me in every steps of the way. I know that everything happens for a reason.
I know that this church is true. I know that the Gospel really can bless the lives of everyone around us! All we need to do is open our mouths to share it!
I love you so much! Shout out to my family! I am so lucky to have my familys support and love in everything i do.
Chirst is our Savior.
